Beginners Lino Print Workshop Large Decorative Tile

Learn all about the art of lino print through practicing with the various carving tools, then design and create your own decorative tile. You’ll start by practicing mark making on the lino with the different cutting tools before designing and creating a large decorative tile that you’ll use to create a larger surface pattern with. You’ll get the chance to make two 5″ x 5″ tiles and make test prints on paper before printing on to a 15″ x 15″ piece of fabric which once dry you can sew in to another creation in your own time. You’ll take your completed lino tiles and your prints home with you so you can practice some more at home.

The carving tools are very sharp and finger protectors and cutting boards will be provided. Aprons are also provided but please wear clothing that you wouldn’t mind getting ink on as these inks can stain. This activity is not suitable for young children.
