Planting

Feb to June, 8″/20cm apart and 2″/5cm Deep

Soil/Position

Preferably a semi-shaded place, although they will bloom in full sun in a moisture-retentive soil. Rich garden soil with good drainage.

Expert advice

For early flowering place tubers, close together, level with surface in trays containing a mixture of damp peat and sand, hollow part up. Temperature 7-16°C/45-60°F. Plant them outdoors when danger of frost has passed. Keep soil moist and remove faded flowers.
