Planting
Feb to June, 8″/20cm apart and 5″/12cm Deep
Soil/Position
Sun or partial shade, protected from strong winds, but avoid dry, hot locations e.g. along a south-facing wall. A rather heavy, well-drained soil with a good supply of humus.
Expert advice
A covering with peat is recommended to retain moisture in the soil. Remove faded flowers.
