Wild Flower Corn Cockle

Silky, five-petalled magenta blooms with paler centres, glide on slender stems, gently swaying in the slightest breeze. Once a common wildflower in arable fields and areas with disturbed soil, Corn Cockle is now rare in the wild, making it a worthwhile choice to grow in gardens. A superb addition to an informal border or wildflower patch, rewarding with blooms from May to September. This hardy annual is easy to sow directly outdoors and quick to flower. The blooms are attractive to beneficial insects making it perfect for wildlife-friendly gardens. Height 60-90cm (24-36in). Spread: 20cm (8in).
