Wild Flower St Johns Wort

This hardy perennial makes a superb addition to wildflower gardens. Golden, star-shaped flowers with long stamens appear at the tips of upright stems throughout summer. On close inspection, the brilliant yellow petals are peppered with tiny black dots. Also known as ‘Perforate St Johns Wort’, the leaves have many tiny holes which can be seen when held up to the light. The flowers are very popular with bees and also play host to the fabulously iridescent St Johns Wort Beetle. An excellent wildflower for boosting biodiversity in your garden. Height: 100cm (39″).
