Autumn Landscapes in Acrylics

Throughout the workshop, Rachael will demonstrate a range of traditional and contemporary acrylic painting techniques, helping you to develop confidence in using the medium. You’ll explore colour mixing to create warm seasonal palettes, learn how to build depth through layering, and experiment with different brushwork and textural techniques to represent foliage, skies, water, and natural landscapes.

Composition will also be a key focus, with guidance on creating balanced and engaging landscape paintings. You’ll explore perspective, focal points, and the use of light and shadow to bring your scenes to life. Individual demonstrations and one-to-one support will help you develop your own ideas while building on your existing painting skills.

Who can attend?

This workshop is suitable for anyone with some basic experience of acrylic painting or for those who have previously attended one of our Beginners Acrylic Painting courses. Participants should have a basic understanding of using acrylic paints, as the class will focus on developing existing skills rather than introducing the medium from scratch.

The course is open to all ages. Young people under the age of 15 are welcome when accompanied by a participating adult.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with a selection of colour and technique studies, a completed autumn landscape painting, and the confidence to continue exploring acrylic landscapes in your own work.
